Friends by Palvot

Privacy Policy

Effective October 28, 2026. Operator: Palvot. The app is shown as Friends.

Friends is a place to ask people you choose whether a purchase is worth it. The profile, votes, chats, photos and coin balance described below are stored on your device. Palvot does not run an account server for this app, and does not sell personal information.

Sign in with Apple

Sign in with Apple gives Friends an account identifier from Apple. The first time you authorize the app, Apple may also provide your name. That name is saved on this device as your display name. If Apple does not provide a name, the display name matches your username. A later sign-in without a name does not replace a name you already chose. A different Apple account is stored in its own folder on the device.

What is stored on this device

Each Apple account on this device has its own copy of this information. Logout keeps it. Clear Account Data and Delete Account remove the local copy, as described below.

Camera, photos and microphone

Friends asks for the camera, photo library or microphone only after you tap the matching control. The camera is used for an item photo, a chat photo or a profile picture. The photo library is used when you choose one of those images. The microphone is used only while you record a voice message in Vote Chat, and only after you allow it. If you do not allow the microphone, the recording sheet closes and nothing is sent. If you do not allow the camera, the camera sheet closes and no photo is taken.

Purchases

Friends Plus sells eight one-time coin packs through the App Store. Apple processes the payment. Friends does not receive your card number. Coins are added only after Apple verifies the transaction. These packs are not subscriptions. The first three votes you publish on a calendar day in Asia/Shanghai are free. After that, keeping a vote costs 5 coins. Previewing a vote does not charge.

What leaves the device

Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. Friends does not upload your votes, chats, photos or voice messages to a Palvot server. The app does not use advertising trackers, and it does not ask for access to your contacts.

Children

Friends is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Deleting what is stored

Removing the app from your device also removes the local data stored with it. Purchases already completed with Apple remain in your Apple account and are not refunded by deleting the app data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of this page will change.
